NOVICE - Grades K-2 Under 600 ELEMENTARY - Grades K-6 Under 500

ELEMENTARY - Grades K-6 Under 500

RESERVE- Grades K-9 Under 800

ADVANCED - Grades K-12 Under 1000

CHAMPIONSHIP- K-12 Open to ALL ratings Including Adults

3-SS 3 ROUNDS PER SECTION
Due to space constraints entries limited to first 36 players

TIME CONTROLS: G/25; d/5 FOR ALL SECTIONS
Entrants can ‘play up’ into any section.
All Sections Rated By The United States Chess Federation (USCF)
There is no elimination! All players play all rounds.

TROPHY PRIZES

• TROPHIES to top 3 in all sections.
• CLASS PRIZES: Reserve: Top Under 700 Advanced: Top Under 900, Championship: Top Under 1200
• HIGH SCORER TROPHY to any player who scores 2 points and does not win a higher place trophy
• ENGRAVED CHESS MEDAL TO ALL OTHERS featuring the name and date of the tournament on the back
TEAM PRIZES
• Trophies to top team in each section.
• The top 2 scorers from the same school in the same section make up the team score.
GENERAL INFORMATION

• Round one begins at 12:00 PM. Rounds 2-3 will begin as soon as the previous round has finished.
• Please Bring Chess Clock if you have one. Boards & Pieces supplied.
• Entry Fee: $49.00 if received online by October 12, 2025 $59 thereafter, $69 the day of the event.
• Please register in advance if possible, to avoid the additional $10 late fee
• Membership required: $24.00/year for the U.S. CHESS FEDERATION (USCF),       USchess.org
Venue: Chess Max of Greenwich: 79 East Putnam Avenue, Greenwich, CT 06830
• On site registration: 11:30-11:45 AM. All rounds begin 12:00 Noon. Late entrants may not be paired for the first round.
• Any player registered is entitled to a free trial class for ALL Chess Max Academy group chess lessons.(for new students).
