Entry Fee: $20.00 until THURSDAY, JANUARY 13TH; Add $5 after that. Registration/Check-in: 12:00 NOON – 1:15 PM.
Registrations are considered LATE after 1:15 PM.
*** PAIRING FOR 1ST ROUND NOT GUARANTEED WITH LATE REGISTRATION ***
· Round Times: 2:00 PM, 2:50 PM, 3:40 PM, 4:30 PM.
· Time Control: G/20; d0. No Time Delay. [ 20 minutes per player per game ]
· Format: 4-SS in ONE SECTION: 4-Round, Swiss Style (NO eliminations).
Requirements:
· ALL entrants must be UNRATED or have a USCF rating LESS THAN 1000 [U1000] according to the latest USCF listings, and you must be UNDER AGE 19.
· Current MEMBERSHIPS in USCF [United States Chess Federation] or MCA [Michigan Chess Association] are not required, but can be purchased on site [Cash, Credit Card, or Check payable to Twin Knights]
CLOCKS, BOARDS, PIECES, AND SCORESHEETS WILL BE PROVIDED.
§ You may bring your own sets/boards for skittles; NO skittles in the tournament room.
§ Score Sheets, Boards, and Pieces are available for purchase on site if need be.
§ Games may start without a clock, but if time runs short, a clock will be placed at your game with very little time.
PRIZES FOR EACH SECTION
Trophies for FIRST, SECOND, and THIRD place finishers. Tie-breakers as approved by MCA will be used, and will be posted on site.
There will be additional Trophies and/or Medals whenever a section has 12 or more entries.
