MORNING and AFTERNOON SUMMER CHESS CAMPS for BEGINNER & INTERMEDIATE PLAYERS

DATES:                  MONDAY THRU FRIDAY  July  11th –  July  15,  2022

TIMES:        ** MORNING:  8:30AM - 12 NOON      **AFTERNOON 1PM – 4:30PM        **ALL-DAY: 8:30AM – 4:30PM

Description: Content is varied, so players can attend either or both morning and afternoon sessions! The camp is for participants who have never played, those who have had some instruction, and those who are familiar with the rules and some tactics. Participants will learn chess history, etiquette, piece movement, relative values of the pieces, common opening moves, middlegame  and  endgame  strategies and  tactics.  They will practice under tournament conditions, see stimulating videos/DVD’s, analyze games of famous players, solve puzzles, and have fun with bughouse. There will be trophies and other prizes.  

The MORNING and/or AFTERNOON SUMMER CHESS CAMPS are for K-8 Beginner and intermediate players.       5 Days, 3-1/2 Hours each for Morning or Afternoon Sessions. The perfect summer activity for your child during the summer months!                       ***For parents who work, the ALL-DAY session is ideal!***

Entry Fee:   $220 per week for either Morning OR Afternoon session;  $415 for All-Day session.

REGISTER BEFORE 6/8 AND GET $15 OFF.

Campers in the All-day session get a nutritious lunch for FREE! (If morning campers want to lunch with the afternoon campers, please add $5.)  (Same for afternoon campers who wish to lunch with the morning campers.)
