REGISTRATION/CHECK-IN: 9:30 AM– 11:00 AM. Registrations are deemed LATE after 11:00. Pairing for 1st round is not guaranteed with late registration.
ROUND TIMES: NOON, 1:30, 2:40, 3:50
FORMAT: 4-Round, Swiss Style (NO ELIMINATIONS)
QUALIFICATIONS: ALL entrants must be UNRATED or have a CURRENT OTB rating less than 800 [U800] AND be under age 18. Current memberships in USCF [United States Chess Federation] or MCA [Michigan Chess Association] are not required. This is a wonderful opportunity to WIN your membership in the USCF or the MCA. THERE WILL BE A PARENT & PLAYER ORIENTATION AT 11:45
PRIZE STRUCTURE
1st Place = USCF Membership; 2nd Place & 3rd Place = MCA membership. MCA TIE BREAKERS WILL BE USED.
Additional prizes available if there are more than 12 participants.
